PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

AVO Turbo World, one of the leading producers of aftermarket performance products for Subaru, Mazda and Nissan, and the manufacturer of many innovative turbo systems and related parts, has turned an engineering eye to the 2018+ Suzuki Jimny.

When we looked at the performance of the 1.5 litre normally aspirated engine in this chassis, it became obvious that the factory airbox was not designed for performance, to say the least!

If you want some more intake sound and intake surge especially under full throttle, then this is the kit.  This kit is designed for 4WDing and for the guys that have a snorkel fitted to their vehicle.  On the dyno, we seen over 4 kilowatts at the wheels and the smoothness over the open pod filter and standard airbox was amazing.  The air/fuel ratio line was dead flat and we believe it is due to eliminating the convoluted factory throttle body hose causing air turbulence.  To come up with the result keep in mind that I did testing all on the same dyno, same day within 1 hour and was firstly with the standard box, then pod filter with intake and then finished with the upgrade airbox system.  The same tune remained in each of the 3 dynos.

We came up with a specially designed box that encloses the AVO pod filter inside the box and is totally sealed off from water and contaminants.  We have a larger steel pipe that runs from the exit of the box to the front of the throttle body allowing a larger volume of air to be delivered to the engine and in an undisturbed state.  The entry of the box has a flexible duct that comes from the front corner of the bonnet.  To help running a larger flexible ducting we also manufactured a large steel adapter to bolt to the body.

AVO uses a washable and fully re-usable hi-flow pod filter that has been designed specifically from sturdy cotton fibre.  It increases air flow, allowing the engine to make more power and torque.  Yet thanks to a special dry film it has equal rates of engine protection.  This dry film design does not use oil like most other performance filters, which keeps your intake from being damaged from excess oil.  You simply need to soak it in warm, soapy water, rinse it out with water, and then let it air dry.  

Kit comes with everything that is required right down to the last silicone hose, hose clamp, rubber grommet and flexible ducting.
